Intel Vs AMD Which Company's processor is better for gaming, editing, rendering and encoding and Why?
Both companies produce great processors and invested a lot in Processor development. That's the reality. Intel and AMD both make a variety of processors for different needs. It all boil downs to your need and your budget of course.
Technologically and Historically, Amd's processor was based on Intel's X86 instruction set and when Amd Released x64, Intel adopted that instruction set and started to develop processors based on that Instruction set as x86_64 processors.
In the age of Single Core Processors, Amd was King and produced better processor but Scene changed, the day when Intel released it's Core Processor series, Intel reigned for years as Amd lagged and was not able to produce anything Competitive. In Every sphere Intel defeated Amd, Amd Selling point was low price.
Well I am not a Fan boy and I prefer the one which gives me best bang for my buck. So I am neutral towards company and even Critical when it comes to Price and Performance Ratio
Since 2006-2017 Intel's processor were de facto most expensive and better performing one and Intel was King of Processors but In 2017 Amd Released Game Changer Ryzen Series Processor and things Shifted. Intel is no longer have that Crown.
In Every sphere Amd Improved, Amd Improved So much so that Ryzen performance is either at Part with Intel I series processor better than Intel I series processor. Not only that as of today Amd's processor are more efficient and give better bang for your buck.
Amd this time with Ryzen Series processor was able to break the Monopoly of Intel. Amd is giving serious and hard competition to Intel. In every term Amd Ryzen processors are as good as Intel's Processors and it gives better Return on Investment and has better Price and performance Ratio.
Well you certainly can by Intel I series processors, only problem with them are they are Tad bit more Expensive and when you will upgrade the processor you probably will need to upgrade motherboard too. While with Amd says, Amd will support the Motherboard till it Phases out Processor Generation and Amd Processors are cheaper.
So Right now I am recommending Amd Ryzen Series processors for Mid-Range and High End Cpus, while Amd does not have anything yet for lower segment. So as of today, I am recommending Intel Dual Core Series processors.
